Gateley Hamer is a specialist property consultancy providing expert advice relating to Easements & Wayleaves for utilities infrastructure, and Compulsory Purchase & Compensation.
The company was established in 2000 by Charles Hamer who, having worked within the electricity industry for over 30 years, realised the need for landowners to be represented when their property is impacted by electricity apparatus. The text book ‘Electricity Wayleaves, Easements and Consents’, was co-written by Charles Hamer with a Partner from a major law firm. This practitioners guide has been regarded as the number one text book on the subject.
Over the years the business has grown strategically and diversified to provide specialist advice relating to Compulsory Purchase and Compensation, acting for both scheme promoters as well as landowners affected by projects such as High Speed 2, Crossrail 2 and Thames Tideway Tunnel.
Our professional expertise together with our personal approach and commitment to achieve the optimum results for our clients means we are regularly instructed to deal with the UK’s major infrastructure and development projects. We also have an impressive client list including many of the UK’s residential developers.
We are continually looking to grow our business and always looking for people with the right skills, experience and personality. We are happy to provide CPD presentations to solicitors or public sector organisations and members of our team regularly present on behalf of RICS, CLA and CPA.
On 16th September 2016, Hamer Associates was acquired by Gateley (Holdings) Plc, becoming Gateley Hamer and part of the wider Gateley Group. The Group’s strategy is to acquire businesses offering complementary professional and other specialist services to clients in Gateley Plc’s target markets.
Acquisitive growth will be achieved through the acquisition of legal teams or firms offering niche services, sector specialism or geographic expansion and complementary business services businesses.
